Getting Started

If this is your first time on MistyMC, welcome to the mist. Here’s everything you need in five minutes.

1. Open Minecraft

MistyMC supports Java Edition only, on versions 1.8 through 1.21. If you’re on Bedrock (mobile, Xbox, Switch), you can’t connect — sorry.

Any modern launcher works:

• The official Mojang launcher
• Prism Launcher
• MultiMC
• Modrinth App
• Lunar / Badlion (just disable mods that auto-cheat)

2. Add the server

In Minecraft, click Multiplayer → Add Server.

Server Name: MistyMC
Server Address: play.mistymc.xyz

Click Done, then double-click the entry. You’ll arrive in Spawn.

3. Pick a gamemode from the compass

In your hotbar you’ll find a golden compass — right-click it. A menu appears with all six gamemodes. Click one to teleport.

You can also use commands:

Command	What it does
/play bedwars	Teleport to BedWars lobby
/play soup	Open soup arena
/play practice	Modern Practice queue
/play bot	Bot Practice
/play build-ffa	Build FFA arena
/play survival	The survival world

4. Set yourself up

• /sethome <name> — bookmark a location (3 free homes, more with rank)
• /discord — get the Discord invite
• /store — open the store link

5. Read the rules

Two minutes. Saves you ten.
